Red/Blue Veins
Treatment: Laser/IPL

In Red Vein Treatments, IPL will be used and for Blue Veins the Nd Yag Laser.

The wavelength of light used is specially selected such that when it is directed into the skin, it is absorbed by the blood vessels. These blood vessels heat up, destroying the entire vessel whilst causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Following treatment, the destroyed vessels are absorbed by the body leaving little or no trace of the lesion.

You will be provided with full details of treatment costs at your initial consultation. However, as a guide sessions cost from £150.00.

Sclerotherapy

As an alternative to laser treatment we also offer sclerotherapy. This highly popular treatment involves the injection of a sclerosant solution into the affected area, which destroys the vein lining and kills the blood vessel. Sclerotherapy and lasers compliment each other and sometimes a combination works best. Following your initial consultation your nurse will help you to decide which treatment is most suitable for you.

Prices £150 per session, several sessions may be required depending on the actual veins.

Acne Rosacea

Rosacea is a common inflammatory condition of the skin of the face that causes redness that looks like a flush or blush. Rosacea is sometimes called acne rosacea.

Rosacea often progresses from intermittent to persistent facial redness, with pimples without blackheads, and telangiectasia (red lines where the tiny blood vessels of the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead become quite prominent).

People with rosacea often find that certain lifestyle and environmental factors trigger a flare-up or aggravate their individual conditions. Common triggers include certain foods (especially hot or spicy foods) and drink, (especially alcohol and caffeine), exercise, temperature changes, exposure to the sun, rain or wind, and stress.

Rosacea responds very well to treatment but cannot be cured. Left untreated, the redness becomes more permanent and the tiny blood vessels may become more visible.

Treatment of Rosacea can involve any of the following depending on the severity of the condition
• Intense Pulse Light treatment
• Topical Antibiotics
• Sensitive Skin Products
• Sun protection products

Following an initial consultation and assessment, one of our specialist nurses will advise you on which treatment is most appropriate to your condition.

Spider NaeviSpider Naevi

Spider nevus is the name given to small angiomata which appear on the surface of the skin. They are small benign lesions with a number of tiny blood vessels radiating from them to resemble the legs of a spider. The centre is about 1mm in diameter and the whole lesion about 5 to 10mm across. Lesions most frequently occur on the face, below the eyes, and over the cheekbones. They are only a cosmetic problem and can be difficult to cover up.

Spider Nevus are relatively easy to remove and are successfully treated using IPL. Often one session is all that is required to remove them permanently.
